How long from miami airport?

so i am flyig to miami on saturday my flight lands at noon and i must drive to marathon florida, i have looed at mapquest and i know the distance, but my question is with traffic at noon how long will it take to drive through miami, i am very concerned that i will be stuck in traffic for hours........

consider a lot of traffic... vacation season is coming and there are a lot of tourists so that makes more vehicles driving around at whatever hours. My suggestion is drive at night, preferably after 8 pm, no traffic outside of miami and the night breeze is awesome!

get to the interstate and head south, will be some traffic when get to homestead hop on HWY 1 and go south will be traffic there too but you should be able to do it in about 2 to 3 hrs.

get a local map. you will have to pay a toll. look at the expressways that go south.
Mid-day Saturday is no problem at all. Do not go to the Interstate. When you leave the airport bear right & follow the well marked signs to 836 West (an Expressway) & take it to the Turnpike; take the Turnpike South until it ends at US-1 in Florida City; Take US-1 South right to Marathon. Est time 3-3.5 hrs.
the traffic will not be so bad. the problem is when you hit the keys, the speed limit drops to 35mph and is only one lane each way. 21/2-3 hour trip.
