Best beaches near Fort Lauderdale airport.? |
Travel Info I am looking for a beach closest to the Fort Lauderdale airport. Blue clear waters, big beach, averyage amount of people and also the beach has to close no earlier than 2am, also so there is food and transportation nearby, Travel Tips awww!! I stayed in Fort Lauderdale last year, awesome place to go, their beaches are open alnight as far as we know, we walked them at night past 2 am and there isn't a whole lot of people which is nice!! Then you want a party place or more people, Miami is right next dorr, like 10 min, not even. Then we drove down to the keys. thats a must the water there is HOT like bath water. If your going to Fort Lauderdale, you will love it I can't wait to go back, plust they have this resturant right infront of the beach so when you eat (outside) you over look the beach while you eat. As for wlking the beach, we got to see a shark swim right by the shore so be careful but it was cool and we saw a large jellyfish on the sand its just beatiful there if you are looking for a place to stay thats cheap and right by the beach, by suviniro stores and right by resturants that over look the beach, ect ect, go to the Premier they have rooms with kitchens, a pool and free internet and the guys that work there are really nice and friendly Have a good time!! I'm jealous any more questions, email me at MChiquita101@sbcglobal.net We also took the one day cruise to the Bahamas gotta to that its not expensive Others Fort Lauderdale beach is near by just after Port Everglades to the north. Is nice here yes, i live here I was using a travel guide website for florida that had the top ten beaches of Florida listed. I would reccommend that you visit their homepage and use the city listing for great beaches in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Visit http://www.travel-guide-florida.com... for the top ten beaches and visit http://www.travel-guide-florida.com/fort... for Fort Lauderdale special offers. Good Luck! http://www.travel-guide-florida.com... Take 17, over bridge, to Lauderdale by the sea, great!!! There are a few main areas of Fort Lauderdale Beach, as you come from the South you will first hit up whats known as "South Beach" (not the one in Miami!) which is wide open with volleyball nets and grills on the sand. Nice. A bit farther North you hit the restraunt district which includes the "world famous" Elbo Room bar. Great people watching here but crowded on the weekends. A few blocks north is "Beach Place" which is a 3 story mall of outdoor restraunts and bars and maybe a cigar shop or two. (Tenats change yearly.)Definite fun for tourists! The beach out front is very crowded. North of that is more residential/hotel owned beaches which you'll want to avoid unless you are staying at the particular hotel in which case you'll be pampered by the beach staff! |
