Travel Info What's the cheapest way to get from the Fort Lauderdale airport, to South Beach? Travel Tips Ft Lauderdale Airport shuttle ((954) 757-7778) is advertising $29.00 per person (min. two persons) one way to South Beach hotels. OR you can take the Airport shuttle bus to the Tri-Rail station; take Tria-rail to the Metro-Rail Station in Miami; Take Metro-rail to Government Center Station in downtown Miami. & there pick up the C,K, or S bus to South Beach. Cost approx $12-14.00. All those connections will take up a lot of time. Otherwise you can take Troy's advice & take two buses: Broward County #1, which stops at the Airport and every other stop on US 1, & then terminates at Aventura Mall. At Aventura you pick up the Miami-Dade "S" Bus which makes about 50 stops before it lets you off at 17th St or Lincoln & Collins which is So. Beach. Total cost about $3-4.00. Both of these buses are locals & SLOW. Others Besides walking, probably a shuttle. Remember cheap also has to be "convenient". If you find something cheap but it is such a hassle you missed out on time and money, then cheap is expensive. I say just take a shuttle or a cab and be done with it. cab $40 -$60 The cheapest way to take 2 buses.
