Is Sunny Isles a nice option to Miami Beach? |
Travel Info hi, I have reserved in a Sunny Isles hotel for a vacation.I heard that's a pretty safe and cheap area compared to South Beach, but honestly I dont know what to expect. Sunny Isles is approximately a good 20 minutes drive from South Beach, so I think it's not such a tbig tourist area, but again, I don't know what to expect and if I took the right decision, maybe it was better a more central area like Ocean Drive? Pleaase help me,thanks. Travel Tips Sunny Isles may be cheap but it's far from the action. It is mostly for familes & retirees. The action for singls is So. Beach or Ft. Lauderdale. You'll use up your savings in transport. Others Sunny Isles is mostly where the retired people live. Rent a car and drive down to Key Biscayne (on 1 mile SE of downtown Miami.) You should be able to take I-95 and follow the signs once you reach dwtn Miami... it's only 20-30 minutes on weekends. There is also a good beach just north of Sunny Isles... about 10-15 minutes but I don't recall the name. Best wishes. there is local public transportation,but still sunny Island is to far from the real party action. it is more than 20 minutes drive. kind of hour and a half.....in the none rush hour. there is not highway or freeway in betwin.Just Collins Ave.( please see a map.) I am sorry to tell You this ,but I am still on time.to let You know. if You are above Collins and 41 street, You when to far North. and sunny island are above the 150 street. remember this: the fun is from the first street till the 41.street Ocean drive runs from first street till 15 street. Lincoln road is in the 17 st. let me add more if You get reservations below the 23 street(means South) You will be in the walking distance of everything.no need for car or transportation at any time.( going to the hotel by walking, let say 4 am still crowd it) |
