Welcome dude to a great place. It takes some getting used to, but it has a rhythm and vibe that people take to and enjoy. You will have NO problem finding a job if you're a plumber. Whether you are union or not, there are plenty of jobs available because construction is booming. The Brickell / Downtown Miami area has a lot of jobs, as well as Kendall and North Miami too.
