Travel Tips Sanibel is a beautiful place, and its beauty comes with a price, but well worth it! I have gone there 20 times over the years, and the best place to stay for a couple or a few friends is the Sanibel Inn, bar none. But, if you have kids with you, Sundial has more amenities. Sanibel Inn is at an easy location to get in and out, the beach is wide and nice, pool side bar, etc. Miami has tons of choices in the summer---just avoid South Beach proper to save a few bucks. 20th Street and north on Collins Ave for the best deals. There is a great Florida travel guide website that I have recently visited that you can find exactly what you are looking for. I found a great deal on a hotel room in Miami and I was able to compare a few different offers on the same page. If you don't have your reservations for Sanible by now, you may have a hard time finding anything. Having said all this, you might try Hotels.com or Hotwire.com. Somtimes you can find good deals for the worst rooms in the place on there. You might look into a B&B on south beach. Thers a couple and they are pretty resaonable., If there still satnding. I haven't been to South Beach in about 4 years and the beach irrosion is awful as Ive seen on the news down here. Be careful in Miami. Worst and rudest drivers in the world. They made the top of that list twice now and I can believe it. Also, lots of uninsured moterists because it's over run with illegals. I used to love to go to Miami. The latin flavor of the city, the wonderful Cuban people, and the food! Now its over run with jerks of every nationality. Not sure why. |
