What is better Miami or anywhere in the Keys? |
Travel Info I would like to go on a FLorida vacation and want to learn to scuba dive for a reasonable prices. Some of the vacations are $500 in Miami (all inclusive), the diving courses are cheaper and it seems there is a lot to do. In the keys its more expensive seems like there is less to do, but better quality water? I'm from NYC, so I don't need to go drinking and partying. I'd like to experience what is unique to Florida with diving. Any suggestions? Travel Tips Definitely the Keys...don't be fooled by the reputation, the Keys have much more to offer than just drinking till you puke (although they do offer that, yes). The water is gorgeous there...the surroundings have a more tropical feel than Miami (watch the road rage there..it's pretty darn scary! There's more tolerance in the Keys than Miami). Others If you're not into the nightlife scene, go to the Keys. Plenty to do and the diving conditions are better and reefs more picturesque. Been both places. If I had a trip to Florida, the keys hands down. I ve been in Keywest this january and i like it but there was a lot of old people....i love scuba diving there but in miami you have more options ...maybe you can go to the Keys and then spend 2 or 3 days in miami to compare. If you just want to scuba dive i would recommend you the keys but think that they only have small hotels / old people/ small town environment...if you want to take a view i have some pics and videos...just le t me know and i can send them so you can watch it for yourself.. |
