Florida travel in the summer? |
Travel Info We arrive at Miami International at the afternoon. We are going north to Orlando the day afterwards. We are looking for a nice overnight stay at 2-4 hours drive distance to the north, so we can arrive to Orlando easier the day afterwards. Thanks! Travel Tips It's only 5 - 5.5 hrs. to Orlano. Stay in Miami or just head to O'town -- unless you want to head up the coast or US 27 to sightsee. Others good god man florida in the summer is like hotter then hot. running to air to air conditioning is NO fun Try Tampa, or Daytona Beach. Stay away from Jacksonville, it is a bad area if you are in the wrong neigborhood. I just drove from NYs all the way down to Miami, and the beach towns like Daytona are nice, and there is always a ton of stuff to do. If you're arriving Miami today you could be in orlando this evening it only takes a few hours to get there Try going to Jensen Beach/Port St Lucie/Vero Beach areas.. just 2 hours up on 95... its nice out there really pretty.. I was told there ware no clubs out there so I dont know what u are trying to do.. they all go to west palm to club...or go up to Cocoa Beach.. like another 30-45 minute drive from Vero beach...or Daytona.. Orlando is 35min frmo Cocoa... and 30 from Daytona.. u can also get to orlando from melbourne/cocoa beach wthou takin 95N or I-4.. (there's a toll road thoguh) al these places are within 2-4hrs. The beach is nice in Jacksonville but its not caribbean blue water like it is toward the south.. I dont recommend u going to jackson either (not cuz of the crime..) its really not as poppin as tampa, orlando and miami but its trying to step it up. It will take you almost six hours to drive to Orlando. Find a hotel and ask someone at the desk. What is the fastest way to get to Orlando? You might have to rent a car and it will be a really long drive. |
