Travel Info This will be my first time in Miami...what should I do?? Travel Tips It depends on what you and your friend are into.. While at South Beach during the day you MUST go to the beach, and enjoy the warm water and just lay out and tan! The one spot I always go to is called South Pointe, go there =].. The nightlife is pretty crazy (you will see some of the weirdest people).. You can find a lot of clubs and great restaurants on Lincoln Road, Washington Avenue, and Collins Avenue.. In my opinion two really good clubs are Space and B.E.D (yes there are beds there lol).. and as for dining out (my fav. thing to do at night by the beach) one place that I really recommend is Touch Restaurant on Lincoln Road.. If you like fish Nemo's is a good place, and Taverna Opa (opa's) gives you a fun Greek experience, you can even dance on the tables! During the day in South Beach, in addition to going to the beach, if you are interested in art deco look up the Miami Design Preservation League's Art Deco Welcome Center.. If you want to visit different places that are not in South beach go shopping at Dolphin mall, or go to Bay side (big open mall, lots of things to do there).. you can also find places to go snorkeling, or museums (the Planetarium is really nice).. Other Travel Tips If you are staying in South Beach then you can look at the Art Deco builidings and watch the people, who are probably more interesting. The Beach is nice, the water blue, go to Key Biscayne and see the lighthouse. Take an overnight trip to Key West. Relax. Perfect choice. I went to South Beach freshman year of college. We just roamed the streets and bar hoped. It was a lot of fun. There is also (I think its called) Harrahs Casino which was a lot of fun as well. Oh yes! South beach! I've been there...its an amazing place! You really have to go to the beaches! They are not like ones you see everyday...they are crystal blue! Try beach activities...like boating, fishing, skiing(if you like extreme stuff!) Go to washington avenue.. lotsa clubs on that street.. go to lincoln mall (hear its expensive) go to dolphin mall out by the airport.. eat at some cuban restaurants on calle ocho. Definitely try the cuban sandwich.. they also have it on the menu at one of the outdoor restaurants on south beach. Cuban food I recommend Arroz Imperial with platanos and try some Batidos. my boyfriend likes "congril" (sp). I think the biscayne area has an aquarium.. and well it depends on what u like to do. And definitely go to the beach! water so pretyty and warm. The water temperature is 80 degrees in the summer, and it is right now |
