Should I live in Miami or west palm beach? |
Travel Info I'm a 18 year old white male. and I do not speak spanish Travel Tips West Palm no question. There are limited areas in miami where you should live and they are very expensive. There are lots of places all over Palm Beach County that are nice and safe to live in every price range. I recommend the north county - Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Juno beach, North Palm Beach. Just stay out of Riviera Beach. Things are generally newer. The bar scene is much better in West Palm though the club scene in Miami obviously blows WPB away. But it is much less expensive in the bars than the clubs. And you won't get in the clubs in Miami anyway. You won't have any problems by not speaking spanish in either place though. But you might not fit in very well the farther south you go. It can be clique-ish. I don't know where you're from but you'll prob identify better with the people in PBC. Traffic is better in PBC though not by a whole lot. Anything in Miami is here as well. Miami doesn't have a big city feel like NYC or Chicago so to me that shouldn't be an issue. Though the beach in Miami is better than up here but that's if you spend a lot of time there. At least we have more consistent surf. Others West Palm Beach is nice, but it's expensive. There is lot's to do in Miami, and lot's of nightlife. If I were you, I would look for a nice condo in Miami near downtown. man miami is a very different city but you won't be treated bad for being white. it is definitely an experience and you will eat some new things, experience diff culture and if you like the beach and nightclubs that is there too. If you want to live in an urban enviorment and in one of the largest citites in the United States than live in Miami. Miami has everything for anyone. Its a large modern city that does not feel like the US. It has an international flavor but not just latin. Miami has a large African population, European and even some Asians. And the carribean population is huge. Miami is a metropolis. It is much more expensive to live in Miami than it would be in Palm Beach. A small condo in Downtown Miami or Miami Beach is going to cost atleast $200,000. If you dont mind traffic, busy style to life like it you were living in NYC or Boston except a little bit calmer than NYC or BOS than Miami is the place. You just need to decide do I want to live in the Suburbs with Palm Beach is like a suburb to Miami or do I want to live in the middle of everything and never have the opertunity to not have anything to do. West Palm is dull as doornails & is occupied mostly by wealthy retirees. |
