Travel Tips I always stay at a friends house but I have seen some nice hotels near the waterfront which are not actually on South Beach. Try Hyatt or Hilton, or my personal best Mandarin Oriental. If these are quite expensive for you try Sheraton or Marriot by Dadeland, they are in a nice neighbourhood. Others There are soo many places besides South Beach and you didn't say what you are looking to do. If you want beaches just with out the hype go further north. Try Hallandale, Sunny Isles - great but pricey shopping! The Sheraton at Bal Harbour, it is a nice suburb of Miami, on the Miami Beach barrier island about 15minutes from South Beach and 20 minutes from Downtown Miami. Almost no other hotels near by and near a very fancy shopping mall which is not opened late. Also near by the Bal Harbour Beach resort is the Ocean Club a nice small hotel. I dont know why you dont want to be in Miami Beach but these placse are pretty nice. Downtown Miami is not very busy at night either. |
