Best hotels in Miami Beach for a group in mid-20's? |
Travel Info My girlfirends and I are headed to Miami Beach in mid October and are looking for a good hotel to stay at. None of us have ever vacationed in Miami so we need some good advice. We are 5 females, mid-20's, looking to relax by the pool/beach during the day and party at night. We want something located within walking distance or short taxi ride from the bars/clubs. We are looking to spend around $200 on a room per night. We would prefer a place on the beach with a pool and beach access, but don't know if that's possible at the rate we are wanting to spend. I have looked at a lot of the hotels online and almost all have mixed reviews. Please give me some advice so that we can make our first vacation to Miami memorable, fun, and relaxing. Travel Tips You want to be on South Beach which is the southern tip of the Miami Beach peninsula (which runs north/south)...from about 1st through 21st streets (which run east/west). The best clubs are between 5th and 15th street. The road closest to the beach is Ocean drive and most of the hotels are EXPENSIVE! Cheaper options are ones on or around Collins and Washington Ave. Most of the best clubs are either on Washington ave or Ocean Dr. Here are a few options...The Savoy, The Park Central...are real close to the beach and walking distance to clubs. The Catalina, The Albion...are very near to Lincoln Road Mall which is a very cool walking mall with awesome restaurants, and these hotels are also walking distance to clubs (LEVEL in particular). You would have to walk a little more to get to the place to "see and be seen" on the actual beach which is around 6-10th streets. Hope that helps. I stayed there and it was money What about this one? http://www.hotels.com/property.do?coyear... You can try the Lowe's hotel it's usually kinda pricey but you can try on different discount sites. Or you can call them up and ASK for a discoutn if the prices are a little too high. But w/5girls you guys should be ok even if the room ends up beeing a lil'more than what ya wanted....u'll make it up on all the free drinks & dinners you can score from the guys. And if ur married skip the dinners but take the drinks.....just keep in mind to all always stay together....it can and does get a lil'crazydown their. Either way have Fun!!! |
