Kendall, in southwestern Miami-Dade lies on SW 88th St (also known as N. Kendall Dr.) and it stretches from US 1 in southeastern Miami and stretches to Krome Avenue in western Miami.

The area around US 1, however, has been lately referred to as Dadeland instead of Kendall. And then a bit west of that (after the Palmetto / 826), the area is usually referred as Kendall up until the Florida Turnpike. West of the Turnpike, the area is known as West Kendall. Locals, however, like to omit the "West" in West Kendall unless if they needed to be specific.

West Kendall has a newer suburban feel compared to Kendall, and some of the better restaurants on N. Kendall Dr. are here. The area is also known for having a lot of Colombians, but you'll find every kind of people here.

Dadeland is becoming more urban and is having skyscrapers of its own, and is accessible by Miami's Metrorail.

All of N. Kendall Dr. is congested and heavy with traffic - the worst congestion is usually around Dadeland and around West Kendall.
