Travel Info Whats the fastest way to Washington without paying tolls, or the least amount of tolls, from Miami? Travel Tips I-95 North. Others If you mean Washington D.C. Just take I-95 North from Miami and get off at the signs that say Washington D.C. I think I-395 in DC will take you right into the city. If you are talking about Washington D.C. then I would recommend doing I-95 that does eventually go into I-395 right into Washington D.C. see this link for more info and details...http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.... ( And you do not pay any tolls and about a 16 hour drive)... Or if you were referring to Washington the state, then you can still do I-95 that will merge into the Turnpike where you will have to pay tolls but you will only pay about 15-$20 but no more than that and then go into I-75 then i-475 and many others...check out here for directions..http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main....
