Single female going to south beach alone? |
Travel Info I am 23 turning 24 in august. I just graduate school with my masters and I've been trying to go somewhere. I can't seem to find anyone interested in taking a vacation at the moment. So, I am thinking I will go back to miami (i went with a female friend in 2006). If I go, I would stay with an aunt for the first few days in north miami. but i figure I can get a hotel for two nights in sobe before i leave. Anyone have any suggestions for hotels or places to go? I know I want a hotel with a pool...I figure I'm more likely to meet others and layout more comfortably. Travel Tips I disagree with the others. I think you'll be fine taking a trip to South Beach alone. It's essentially "open" 24 hours and there are always people around. People are very friendly so you will not feel "lonely." When I go, I stay in north beach at the Radisson Deauville and either walk or take a quick cab ride to whatever it is I'm doing on South Beach. North Beach is less expensive for hotel accomodations. Lincoln Road is great for people watching and shopping and eating, etc. and of course head over to Ocean and Washington when it's time to party. The Clevelander is still one of my favorite spots. Have fun! Others GIRL this is a dangerous thing. erase this. I would assume a 23 yr old woman would know better. GO to travel sites. You really shouldn't go to South Beach alone. It's not safe. You will be fine. Just, don't get drunk. You know Miami Beach ........turistical,friendly,an... secure.(has become a little expensive, but still good).police is there all the time. You can count with "those guys" |
