Where should I stay in Milan?

I'll be spending 2 days in Milan with my friends. We prefer staying at a youth hostel/budget hostel near the train station or near places of interest..

Travel Tips
You can also stay in Como which is very close and the train is only like 20 min. ride...there is nice places to see there too and Milan is not far, that what our school did for our trip.
