What is there to do in Monterrey, Mexico? |
Travel Info Recommend some tours to take, sites to see, places to visit on a quick weekend trip. I won't have a car, so what is the best way to get around? Is it really like an extension of Texas or will I feel like I am in another country? Travel Tips Hi! You will feel you are in another country. Starting with language and architecture. Monterrey is more of an industrial and finantial center in Mexico. Still, there are plenty of things to do. Strating with cultural stuff, you got Planetario Alfa, Marco Museum, Museum of Mexican History, or just take a walk along the Macro Plaza. If you are a bit more outdoors, well you can visit the Grutas de Garcia, Cola de Caballo, National Park Chipinque, the Huasteca... those are the places closest to Monterrey麓s Center. Traditional places to eat in Monterrey, you got El Rey del Cabrito, El Mirador (some what expensive, but the best meat in town!). Los Arcos, Hawaii 5-0 are also nice. For night life, you got everything... little bars whith live music and big clubs that close at dawn. For a turist, i would probably recomend Bar R铆o, San Pedro Antiguo, Aloha. Public transportation covers most part of Monterrey, but it is not very comfortable. Taxis can be found everywhere, and aren麓t too expensive. Ask at your hotel. Hope you have a great time! |
