Travel Tips
I live in San Diego, right next to the border. I was always leery about going to dentists in Tijuana, but a few years ago I needed my wisdom teeth extracted BADLY and didn't have the money to do it stateside. A bunch of people from my work said they had been to see a Mexican dentist named Dr. Ruth (funny,I know). They all swore by her. Alas, me and my boss went down to see her and I was pleasantly suprised! She was clean, professional, and spoke English (in fact she lives in the US, but practices in Mexico for humanitarian reasons). Even better, she pulled my 2 teeth, gave me my prescriptions, and charged me $60.00! I'm not sure where I put her business card, but her name is Dr. Ruth Rubio, DDS. She's right off the main street in TJ (Revolucion) on the corner above a shoe store called, I believe, Viva Zapata. Honestly, I will never go to any other dentist other than her. I'll try to find her card for you, but I'm not sure if I'll be successful. Good luck to you! |
