Im going to monterrey, mexico, any suggestions as to what i should do or where to go? |

Travel Tips I live in Monterrey and there are some great things to do around here, it depends on what you like to do. I personally like to go for walks in Chipinque, Chipinque is part of the Sierra Madre, it's very beautiful specially when it has rained, around spring break it should be very green with lots of trees, it's very quiet and relaxing. You could also visit La Cola de Caballo, it's a natural water fall, it's really nice, there is a great hotel there with bungee jumping if you like that sort of things. In the path to La Cola de Caballo there's la Presa de la Boca, it's a lake where you can do water skiing, fishing, there are party boats, etc. As for the nightlife there are great night clubs in the city, in the part called "Barrio Antiguo" I personally like this clubs: San Pedro Antiguo or SPA, BarRio, La Suite and UMA. There is another part of the city called "El Centrito", you can find pretty good night clubs there too. You're supposed to be over 18 to go in but I have noticed that they hardly ID foreigners. Monterrey is usually safe but try not to have a lot of cash with you, just in case.. Try using credit or debit cards, you shouldn't have a problem with them, if you have a VISA is better. Also try to stick to the crouds, the more the better. In general just be as careful as you would be anywhere else. I hope you have a great time in Monterrey.
