How to set up a 66 block t1 line? |
Travel Info the wiring standard that they use in lab #1 is LEFT SIDE RIGHT SIDE w/bl ----- -------------------------w/bl bl----------------------------... w/o---------------------------... o-----------------------------... w/gr--------------------------... gr----------------------------... w/br--------------------------... br----------------------------... and to go all the way dwn thw 66 punch block uing the 12 cat 5 cables on the left side you would connect the wires to a mps100e cat 5 110 modules. on the right side you would connect the rj45s. then using column 2 and 3 test for continuity using a multi-meter. I have finished that lab so then lab #2 is the one i am stuck on lab #3 is probably what you are more familar with because you use a cat 3 on columns 2 and 3 to test for phone signal i think the lab just needs to be broken down to a more specific point .this is very definely not real world scenario.the wires are the same setup as the first lab its not the columns that confuse me what i have been tolod is not to pay to much attention to tip and ring in this lab but to focus on the transmit and receive aspects so here it is again the phone company has terminated their lines on the left hand side of the 66 block using the green and brown pairs. i need to detail which specif wires i will terminate on column #4(the right side) it really does not matter which rows i do not think.but by looking at lab one i will use the standard that they set.complete answers would consist of the proper wire color w/gr,gr,w/br,b and the recive/transmit relationship.the diagram i am given is row#45 w/gr-t1-----------------transm... row#46 gr r1---------------------transmi... row#47 t==----------------------recei... row#48 r-------------------------rece... the wires on the left are coming in from the telephone company. the wires on the right are going out to an extended dmarc location.when thet say terminate they mean that they have punched down the wires on the 66 block. i need to know how to connect a cat 5 wire to this block to get the t1 line to the extended dmarc site and they use the standard of 586b.does this make it eadier to understand this lab.any help you can give me really would be appricated thank you!
