What is the cheapest way to get to Quebec from Montreal? |
Travel Info What is the cheapest way to get to Quebec from Montreal? Travel Tips Cheapest one time fare, bus. If you are going to be doing the trip multiple times, sign up for a ride-sharing program. One way trip is 16$, but you have to pay a one-time registration fee. I would recommend allo-stop. http://www.allostop.ca/ Others walking is FREE!!!11!!one Hope Air Canada has a seat sale! =) I assume this is not a trick question of getting from Montreal to the providence of Quebec, as Montreal is located in it. In that case you can walk it :) hehehe. But, I assume you are talking about Quebec City, so please see below. The cheapest way to get to Quebec (City) from Montreal is driving if you have a car. It is nearly a 3 hour drive (about 260 km). Just take highway 20 all the way there. Your second, and cheaper yet option, is the Montr茅al->Charny->Qu茅bec City train. This is about $40 USD each way. Purchase tickets through Via Rail Canada - www.viarail.ca The third option, and I think the absolute cheapest, is the city bus. You will have to take an Orleans Express bus or an Intercar bus to come to Quebec, depending on where you start from. Their web sites are http://www.orleansexpress.com/english/in... and http://www.intercar.qc.ca Honestly, a flight would cost way too much and with your early check in time, flight time, baggage claim time, you would have already been there if you drove. :) bus |
