Subsidised Housinf in Montral?

I am single and want to live in a studio or one bedroom place with ceeper rent. Is it possible in Montreal? Unfortunately I dont speak French but love to learn. Can any one suggest me any place? I live in Toronto, but the rent and my roomies are not great at all. Do Montreal government provide social assistance to citizens and affordable housing? Really apprecite any suggestions.

No, they don't.
You have to live in Montreal for more than a year and there's a waiting list.
The Ontario government provides social assistance just like Qu茅bec so look up their web site.

sometimes they have relatively cheap deals, especially if you intend to bring a bit more than bus companies allow without an extra fee... but it's always better to ask before just to make sure...
