Is there a discrimination between immigrants in montreal -canada? |
Travel Info Is there a discrimination between immigrants in montreal -canada? Travel Tips Immigrants are very much welcomed in Montreal (quebec is the province) There have been cases where it has been noted that some companies in Quebec do discriminate by last name; if you're last name isn't a local and sounds "foreign" they do not give your cv any glance. In other words : if your last name isn't levesque or tremblay you don't have priority ! there are cases published on that matter. Others I cannot say there is no stress at all but for the most part our immigrant communities mingle rather well and there are no ethnic ghettos to speak of. In fact, in part of the city among other groups there are both radical conservative Muslims and Hassidic Jews, and they have yet to begin shooting or bombing each other. The greatest discrimination is in fact against many immigrant groups by a portion of our pur laine (original French heritage from the 1600s and 1700s) Francophones. French sucks IT USE TO BE A WHOLE LOT BETTER BUT LATELY ITS GOING DOWN HILL WE ARE STARTING TO LOOK LIKE THE AMERICAN'S AND THAT IS NOT GOOD ITS PARTLY ARE FAULT AND THERE IS A LOT OF NEW STREET GANGS FROM ALL OVE R SHOWING UP ITS LOOKING BAD , IT USE TO BE THE HELLS ANGELS THAT RAN THE SHOW BUT MORE AND MORE GANGS AR SHOWING UP.AND NOW WITH THE WAR IN AFGANNISTAN PEOPLE ARE LOOKING OVER THERE SHOULDERS MOORE AND MOORE WE ARE BOTH RESPONSABLE FOR THIS SITUATION LETS PRAY FOR A MIRACLE |
