Travel Info Is Montreal more like Paris or New York City? Travel Tips As one who is very familiar with all 3 places, Montr茅al is about 5% like N.Y.C. and 25% like Paris and 70% uniquely Montr茅alais. Others It is more like New York City I lived there for 4 years, but I did not like it I have never been in Paris or New York, but I went to Montreal last December. And I definitely think that looks like New York,. The New York I see on TV, of course. Montreal is a pretty unique kind of city. It doesn't really compare well to either. Definitely Paris. Montreal is nicknamed "The Paris of the West." There are parts of Montreal, especially in Old Montreal, that have a very European feel. And even though Montreal has skyscrapers (unlike Paris), there isn't enough skyscrapers to get that NYC feel. Plus, Montreal has a scaled down version of Notre Dame! I've been to NYC and Paris and I've lived in Montreal. It ressembles more like Paris. Especially old Montr茅al. The rivers around it aren't as dirty as Paris though. New York is very dirty. Alot of pollution. I live in Montr茅al. |
