I 'm leaving for montreal in 4 hours what are the things i absolutely should do and not miss out on? |
Travel Info Looking for all kinds of suggestions, famous landmarks, clubs, restaurants, cool places, etc...gonna be there for four days and I haven't planned anything yet. Travel Tips Here's what you should definitely check out: During the Day (in no particular order): - Mont Royal (beautiful views of downtown at the top) - Biodome - Botanical Gardens (next door to Biodome) - Old Montreal/Old Port - Notre Dame Basilica (in Old Montreal) - St. Joseph's Oratory - Montreal Museum of Fine Arts - Montreal Contemporary Art Museum (not sure in that is it's official name but the museum can be found in the Place des Arts Complex) And for at night, you can find several nightclubs and bars on St. Laurent, Crescent, and on St. Catherine (if you get off on the Beaudry metro stop, you will be in the heart of the Gay Village). Hope you have a wonderful trip to a beautiful city! Others Well, I guess there is something to be said for last minute planning.... As soon as you get to Montreal, go to a bookstore and buy one of the following guidebooks for that city: Time Out Lonely Planet Rick Steve's Have a great time! More adventerous nightlife also on Blvd St Denis, between St Catherine and Sherbrooke; more French, more University aged. Go down town and to old montreal and trust me, theres always something to do! What ever you like you'll find it in Montreal,,, this is a large City,,,As soon as you will put your feet in: you 'll find pamphlets and pamphlets..of what you can do, eat, see, visit, enjoy, play etc...artist shows of anykind... Go shopping underground,,Place Ville Marie, go visit: Jardin Botanique de Montreal, Bugs exposition, musiums , soooo interesting and beautifull, circus, shows in english or french., you can find anything and much more than you can imagine there,,,in english and french ..quebec province are very evoluate... much more than USA and rest of canada..you'll find out what i mean...restaurants..thousands and thausand no end...all kind all price, but specially all very prof. and super good... You'll never been able to see everything there, you have to live there for that,,and even ..it's a very large city, very active,, and moving , moving , moving all the time...things changes and so on... Just walk on St-Catherine Street... you wont have time to sleep.... I hope you wont loose your time to drink there tho...their something so interesting to do..dont miss it... bord in quebec ., near montreal..lived there for 40 years. plus |
