Travel Info And what is the best location for viewing them? Travel Tips I believe that you are referring to the Montreal International Fireworks Competition hosted by Loto-Quebec. The first competitor starts tonight, as Spain will kick off the event. Although there will be fireworks on Canada Day July 1, it is not part of the competition but is actually similar to the 4th of July in the States...Most cities in Canada will have some sort of fireworks or show to celebrate the birth of our nation. You could probably find that information on Montreal Tourism website.
