The legal drinking age in Quebec, Manitoba, and Alberta is 18, while I believe it is 19 in other provinces.

By law, any store in Quebec that sells alcohol will ask for ID of anyone who appears to be under the age of 25.

Likewise, the legal age to purchase tobacco products is 18 in Quebec.its 18

Legal age to purchase alcohol is 18 years old, but that's just a suggestion!! My son is 18 and he bought a beer at the Alouettes game last week and they didn't card him. They didn't even card him when he was sixteen and the guy misunderstood him when he ordered a soda - he just started pouring him a beer like everyone else!!!!
It is 18 for drinking smoking and if you play lottos. However, lol, it is really relaxed as many don't give a damn and check. Ummm, don't get me wrong I am not encouraging it I am just p***ed off that they don't check. So umm, have fun :)
