I have an expired canadian passport how do I renew it? |
Travel Info I have an expired canadian passport how do I renew it? Travel Tips Here is the website for the Canadian passport office. You cannot just go and renew your passport. Getting it renewed is the same process as when you initially got your passport. There is no automatic renewal of passports in Canada. You have to have a guarantor and references. You have to get passport pictures taken and your guarantor has to verify them. This website should get you started. When you have all your information together you should have your passport within a week or so. Good luck with it. Source(s): http://www.ppt.gc.ca/menu_e.asp... Other Travel Tips You can go on to the passport website and complete your application on-line to save time. It won't let you print the form unless you have fully completed all the required info so it's stupid proof..lol. Go to the passport office, pay the fees and get a new one. They'll also have to stamp your old one. If you are currently resident of Canada: pick up the passport form at a nearby post office, fill it out and mail it in. If you are residing in US, call the Canadian embassy/comsulate and ask them to mail you the form. Once you fill it out and mail it in, it will take about 20 business days (1 month) to process. |
