Places to eat in Montreal?

Travel Info
Going on a trip to montreal...What are some good restaurants to eat at and how expensive are they?

Travel Tips
For really good, fresh, cooked-to-order dishes, the Wok Caf茅 on St. Catherine Street is the best! It's small and the decor is minimal, but damn the food is great!

well, for lunch, you must go have a smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz's, they serve the best smoked meat sandwich's in the world...Corner of St-Laurent and Duluth.
Desjardens is this mall that has an absolutely amazing food court where you can have stuff from all around the world. Prices are pretty good too. I think it's down by Chinatown and the Hydro Quebec building. Should be a subway stop right outside it. Have a great time, i love that city.
ask a new canadian friend or the locals. they probably now the best places.
Shed Cafe on St.Laurent at Prince Arthur Ave. has really yummy food...everything from pasta, chicken, grilled veggies, etc. I love the maple and chilli crusted chicken breast, with yam and goats cheese, and grilled veggies. It's not even expensive! Yum!

Aromatique (I think it's on Peel) has lovely pastas and other dishes, but is a little be more expensive.

Dunn's Diner is world-famous, cheap, and has yummy yummy diner food, milkshakes, etc. It's just off of St.Catherine's.

Other than that, take a walk along St.Laurent or St.Catherine's (both downtown) and you'll find all sorts of restaurants, bars, and clubs, with all price ranges. Explore! Montreal has a fab food scene.
schwartz'z for smoked meat. Walk down Prince Arthur Street which is a street specifically for pedestrians only, and it's got all kinds of restaurants. They aren't the cheapest ones in the city, but they are by no means crazy expensive. For breakfast go to Eggspectations.
Go eat at portovino its a bring your own wine italian restaurante. The food is very good and the prices are decent. about 8$ for an appitizer and 17$ for a main meal.
and last but not least desert is about 5.50$. If you go their you will have a very good time.
