How can I travel from Pointe Claire to Montreal for a day tour ?

Travel Tips
Bus 211, stops in Pointe Claire village, at St-Jean and Highway 20, and Pointe Claire train station. If you're further north, take the 202 down St-Jean from Fairview. Costs about 2 dollars cash one-way, or if you can get a daypass (last I tried they were still hard to find) you can hop on and off the metro and go further afield.

The 202 probably comes every 1/2 hour, the 211 every 10-20 minutes depending on the time of day. Takes about 1/2 an hour, unless there's traffic. (If you're going in rush hour, you might rather take the train--runs right along the same highway.) Source(s): I grew up in Dorval, just one suburb in from Pointe-Claire

Other Travel Tips
you can always take the train from any train station along highway 20, they go all the way to the downtown core of Montreal. This is an above ground public transportation system in Montreal and it takes about 15 minutes whereas the bus might take 1 hour.

Try www.stm.info and click on "tous azimuts - your trip planner". Then fill in your origin and your destination, whether you're taking or not the train and/or the metro, the day and the hour. Then the site will calculate the itinerary for you and will tell you which are the possibilities and the duration of the trip.
Pointe Claire is a suburb of Montr茅al, and there is plenty of public transportation available to you. Many buses leave from Fairview shopping center, and go to Metro (subway) stations that will take you all over the greater Montr茅al area. The STM (la Soci茅t茅 de Transport de Montr茅al) website has all the information you need to plan your trip: http://www.stcum.qc.ca/english/a-somm.ht...

Also, you can call the STM information center as follows: To reach the Travel Information Centre, dial:
STM-INFO and press 8 for English then, choose option 7

Buses and subways in Montr茅al are great - not at all scary like in some big cities - and are a fantastic way to get around. Have a great trip!
