How do I go about moving to Montreal from America? |
Travel Info I'm finishing college and only have about 4 years of french under my belt. Travel Tips I don't know. Others Dump that french on this side of the border and cross over! contact the immigration dept in us and check the legalities of a move. welcome! I think I would think twice about moving to Montreal, they do not like Americans, they are tooooo jealous of us here in the USA...In case you didn't know it, there is NO PLACE LIKE AMERICA............ I have a french minor (about 7 years of experience), but that doesn't seem to be helping. At the website for Quebec immigration you can take a quiz to quickly determine whether you're likely to be allowed to live there. It seems as though a few key criteria are: you have a bachelor's degree listed by the Quebec immigration website (most are engineering, science, etc.), you have a job that requires a transfer to Montreal, you interview for a job in Montreal and the company proves that the position cannot be filled by a Canadian citizen. I wish you luck and if you figure out an easier way than going back to school for another bachelor's degree, let me know! |
