Directions to montreal canada. I want the easiest hotel to drive to.? |
Travel Info I have an upcoming montreal trip planned from vermont. I know my way there from riding with friends but I am now going alone. I would like to know what affordable hotel is the easiest to drive to. In the city. Driving in city traffic kindof freaks me out. But I want to be walking distance to the hot spots... any suggestions to good night clubs? I've been to Dome and to sir winston churchills pub. Someting that plays hip hop music would be terrific. Travel Tips Hmm, if you're coming from Vermont, would you be going through (well near) Valleyfield? Then you can avoid the real bridges (which combine city-driving AND driving on bridges) and take the 20 in through the West Island. Exit at Fort and just a couple blocks up (corner of Ste Catherine) is the Hotel du Fort. Easily walkable to Crescent Street and not THAT dodgy of a part of town. Source(s): must warn you, I don't live in Montreal anymore and I don't drive. Also my parents DO live in Montreal so I don't stay in hotels there. If you don't mind Champlain Bridge (which the big crossing from NY (LaColle) takes you straight to) you'll be in the better part of town, maybe stay at the Delta. Other Travel Tips See Expedia.Ca for hotels. There are several hotels that work out from $80 to $111 in US dollars. See www.clubzone.com for nightclubs and www.mtlclubs.com for hip hop clubs. Have a good time! |
