Travel Tips
It can get very hot and muggy. It's not that common that we have a cold summer. Check out your weather forecasts before you go.
And in Montreal, don't forget to visit Old Montreal and Mount Royal. In Quebec, you can do a tour of the Chateaux Frontenac, and there's a cute little irish pub with a great house brew down one the great little cobblestone streets in Old Quebec.

Others
I was there last summer. It's not a myth, it is COLD there so if you're going late August (like I did), bring sweaters or jackets. Also, in Quebec City, we went on a ghost tour, which was actually very interesting and gave us info. about the history of Quebec. We stayed at Chateau Frontenac hotel which is very nice and worth the money. And don't worry, everybody there is bilingual so you don't need to know any French! Have a good time.
you are better off reading a travel brochure then asking here
If you want to come in Montreal summer is the best time so much
activities is happening, like the Jass Festival, Just for laugh, Fire works. Many tourist come to this time of year. You can also visit Quebec City, to see beautiful scenery, the architecture. You and your husband are welcome to our beautiful Province of Quebec.
If you are planning to stay in the old section of Quebec City make sure you have a hotel reservation during the summer months. Try to visit L'Ile d'Orleans and the shrine at Ste. Anne's.
