Travel Info Need a really nice place to do a photo shoot. I need it to look tropical and beachy. Anyone have any Ideas??? Must be in Montreal or surronding areas!!! Any suggestions?? Travel Tips Ya i'm pretty sure that if there isn't snow on the ground now, it'll be there soon. But for photo ops, you should head to the Eastern townships. North Hatley, Magog, ect. The lakes are gorgeous. But nowhere in the whole province of Quebec will you find anything remotley tropical! Others If you're looking for a tropical beach setting, Montreal in November is the place to be! On the east side of Montreal is a small town of Oka which has a public beach at a large park. It is a long beach and very nice. As for tropical, that part is hard in Montreal. There are pine trees along the beach and perhaps that would be adequate. this time of the year you may have to use a warehouse and backdrops, you do know it is November and lucky there isn't snow on the ground, this is Canada and the trees aren't palm but maple, ever greens, oak and stuff like that. this is a bs question, right? In the infinitesmal chance that it is not perhaps there is a tropical backdrop at one of the movie studios in Montreal. Otherwise wait a hundred years as global warming takes care of things and palm trees are growing on the riverbanks with Mt St-Hillaire and Mt St-Bruno in the distance.. Um, you could try doing it in the Biodome, although they may ask you to leave if you start setting up for a big photo shoot. Or maybe inside the greenhouses of the Botanical Gardens - I know that they have these greenhouse rooms with different themes (like desert, tropical, etc). However, again, you probably need a permit to do a photo shoot. You're picking the wrong season :) I dated a French Canadian who during the course of our 3 year relationship lived in Montreal and in my opinion there is nothing "tropical or beachy" about that island (yes Montreal is an island). If you want a nice place to take pics try the Old Port on a nice summer day. |
