Christmas in Montreal? |
Travel Info im from toronto and im planning to spend my christmas vacation in montreal. im looking for a cheap accommodation. any suggestions? also, any advise on an american who wish to work in toronto. whats the usual procedure? thanks to advise... Travel Tips That all depends on your idea of cheap. Directly downtown, you won't find anything too "cheap" but if you are able to trvel a little, then you can find accomodations starting at 45$ or so per night. Book soon though. The South Shore offers alot or reasonable accomodations. Hope this helped. Others advice: stay with a friend. work advice: craigslist The west island of Montreal is usually fairly well priced and you can get some hotels right off the highway. Try Holiday Inn near St Jean which is in Pointe Claire. It is right off the Transcanadian and you can get around easily there. There is a lot to do and it is reasonably priced. Also being an American myself (born Canadian though) and my american husband, if you want to work in Toronto you will have to find a job that will give you a work visa. That would be the best way.
