Where are some cool places to visit in Montreal durring the Winter? |
Travel Info I am planning a girls weekend to Montreal in March. Planning on seeing Steffie Shock one night, and the rest is open for the most part. Any one have any ideas? Travel Tips Casino is beautiful and has great shows ( check it on line ). Great clubs and restaurants. The major streets where you can find nice bars and clubs are: CRESCENT St. (Downtown) - Very anglo area as it is close to 2 english Universities, the part North of Ste-Catherine (a main street going from east to west) is where you find bars and clubs, the lower part you can find pubs. Look for : FunkyTown ,Newtown , Thursday's, Electric Avenue (80's music), London Pub, Sir Winston Churchill, Brutopia, Hurley's Irish Pub.... ST-LAURENT St. (or ''the Main''): very trendy bars and clubs, very eclectic, french/english...anuthing goes on the Main... Look for: Gogo Lounge, Bifteck, Central Station, Rouge, Laika, Tokyo Bar...you can walk on St-Laurent Between Sherbooke and Rachel St. and find bars and clubs everywhere...most of the place are very nice... ST-DENIS St. and MONT-ROYAL St.- These streets are mostly frenchies...but that is because the bar crowd is more local, but don't worry going there...frendly people everywhere! The bars on these streets are more Lounges, relax atmosphere...very nice... Look for (on St-Denis): St-Sulpice, Le Dogue, Barouf... Look for (on Mt-Royal): Bily K眉n, Edgar Hyper Taverne, Boudoir, Verre Bouteille... For a different experience, the ''737'' is on top of ''place Ville-Marie'' one of the tallest building downtown, you can spot that building because it has a rotating light on top of it, so you see it from anywhere. the adress is: 1, Place Ville-Marie, suite 4540 and it's right in the middle of downtown. Shopping is good in downtown area, You can walk on St. Catherine street or in ground many beautiful malls. Botanical garden is fun if you are into plants. And many more. just surf the net. Others any where out side will be cold but visit old montreal it really picturesque.not the out skirts as much mont royale. Not ure if this is in Montreal but the Ice hotel.... It is a hotel made of ice only available in winter time.... |
