I should be moving to Montreal Canada in a year or so.? |
Travel Info Is this a wise choice - i've been there and am aware of the lifestyle, weather etc. I live in Birmingham England. Any advice for or against please. Thanks. Travel Tips oo i think ENGLAND IS A BETTER PLACE!!!!!....BUT IF YOU HAVE FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN CANADA...THEN U SHOULD PROBABLY GO TO CANADA!!!I THINK SO ITS A WISE CHOICE IF ONLY YOU HAVE FRIENDS AND RELATIVES THERE!!!!....BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE SPEND 10 YRS IN ENGLAND.. THEN IT GOOD TO CONTINUE THERE ONLY!!......ENGLAND IS REALLY GOOD PLACE!!....SPECIALLY FOR CRICKET....LOL....BUDDY IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU NOW!!! BEST OF LUCK!! AND HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY IF U ARE GOING!! Others FOR: you live in birmingham AGAINST: you'd be going to canada go for it If you feel you can cope with the change of lifestyle, go for it. Just make sure that you're happy with starting in a new place where you dont know anyone (unless you already have family over there etc). Good Luck. (I live in Birmingham now, and if I had the chance to move, I'd do it in a shot!!!) Are you trying to immigrate or are you going to be a legal Seasonal Resident (which requires your return to the U.K. at least once every six months)? Are you to apply for a work permit? So much you do not say which is necessary to know before judging if it may or may not be a wise choice. What is your reasoning for moving here? Of course Montr茅al is one of the world's finest cosmopolitan and multicultural cities but London is even more so. PS (next day, to your Add Comment): FYI: there is a huge controversy at present as our francophone mayor is trying to force through a name change of Park Ave (avenue de Parc) to Blvd. Robert Bourassa. (I am a Montr茅aler) Well, as yet we do not suffer from so much muslim versus non-muslim tensions as there is in Birmingham nor do we have muslim ghettos. Yet. (We do have a large muslim immigrant population but also a large orthodox jewish population). But neither do we have good neighborhood curry shops (and most that exist are Indian restaurants). And of course you will need to be French/English bi-lingual if you hope to get much of a job. Our lifestyle is not so much different than Amsterdam. Why are you choosing Montr茅al? |
