It takes approx. 4 business days. So, if you mail it on Monday, you can pretty much rest assured that it will be there Friday. However, if you mail it Tuesday it may take till the following Monday.

Not certain, but check Canada Post's website (http://www.canadapost.ca/). Beware that those are guidelines only; I sent a piece of mail on November 4th and it didn't arrive to its destination (in Texas) until December 12th.

Edit: Canada Post's website doesn't seem to give any estimates, probably because it is heavily dependent on Customs clearance times.
Most regular mail to the US takes between 3 and 7 days.
