When is better to relocate to Montreal in May or October? |
Travel Info I intent to move there and start it all over. so , please tell me when is a good period to rent 2 1/2 and find a job? Travel Tips May would likely be better in regards to finding an apartment but will make finding a job more difficult as University, as well as CEGEP, students will be looking for summer / full-time employment. Another thing to consider, which many people fail to realize, is that if you have children and are from out of the province, you will need to apply for a 'Certificate of Eligibility' to allow them to go to an English Speaking school (thank you Bill 101). If you are unable to get this certificate, your child(ren) will have to go to French school. In any case good luck with the move. Source(s): I live in Montreal and work in the Education System Other Travel Tips In july, all the people rent from 1july to 30 juin the best time too look for a job is september becaues sudents are going back too school, and rents are always cheaper May. A lot of people locked into a June 30 ending lease (and their landlords) are looking to sub-lease with taking over the lease July 1. You also will avoid the July 1 turnover which is absolute madness. May! the thaw has just started. Oct winter has set in. |
