Other Travel Tips
It's pretty standard compared to other cities, a little cheaper then Toronto though. Minimun wage is about $8 and you can get a nice appartment for about $600-800/month depending on the area. Downtown is more expensive of course, if you stick to the suburbs it's cheaper.
I live in MTL
Less expensive perhaps however it is the most highly taxed province in Canada. Nice to visit, would never live there.
It is one of the most affordable cities you can imagine

Rent is about 500-600 for an apartment, usually everything included for that price

transport is 65 per month
In groceries usually it may be around 30 per week

Petrol just went up to like 1.07 per litter

What else? yes there is a high tax here compared to rest of canada but still you can have a great life and have everything here with a decent job, unlike other places in the world where you may struggle financially
