Abyssinia- I have to agree, traveling here is very safe. I have never had any problems. Just try to dress modestly (nothing too tight, short or revealing). It's more about respect than safety. Come see us, you will love it here!

Also an American with a Moroccan husband - our paperwork was complicated but only took one week. Mind you, I had lived here prior to meeting him and already had my carte de sejour (residence card).
