Travel Tips best place would be the suk experience take little money with you no credit card and enjoy the experience of haggling you will be outsmarted.....? in the evening in the main square you have food vendors cooking their speciality you order by the plate say number 36 stall barbequed chicken and 42 might do fresh fish curry and so on you sample at each stall and enjoy the street theatre as well. Be aware of the people helping you discover nirvana through chemicals. It's not frowned upon but discretion should be exercised. Koutoubia square is where all the excitment is and it really comes to life at night. there are loads of soukes to visit but make sure when buying things from there you must bargain with them as some of these places can rip you off I just came back from there in March. we had a wonderful time Atlas mountains are a must see and a day trip to those are a lifetime memory. Hope you have fun!! jamma lfna, a lovely place Jemaa al Fna (the main square, near the Koutoubia mosque, which non-Muslims are not allowed inside) is the main point of interest. The souqs inside the medina can be reached easily from here - it's fun to explore and get lost. In the ville nouvelle, the Jardin Majorelle, Menara, and lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. |
