Travel Tips I agree, definitely bring sunscreen,and wear modest clothing and comfortable shoes. Be prepared to bargain and ALWAYS keep small money for taxis and purchases. If you only have large bills you may find it difficult to get change. Bring some medication for possible stomach ailments and always keep tissue in your pocket (not all bathrooms provide paper, and many also require a small fee for their use) I live here and I also carry antibacterial gel in my purse at all times. If you are bringing a digital camera you may want to bring an extra memory card, because you will want to take LOTS of pictures. Enjoy your visit! Others Bring sunblock (it's expensive there). Dress somewhat conservatively if you don't want attention from men (short sleeves - OK, short skirts or shorts - not OK). Sunglasses are a must. You should plan to bargain when you shop - if the shopkeeper says 100 dirham, for example, offer him 50dh - he will go down, while you go up a little, until you agree on a price. Have fun and drink some mint tea! |
