Agadir buying advice?

I am going back to Agadir for a couple of weeks in mid June. I really love it out there but could do with some advice from those who know the area really well.

I love my spices and seasonings - where in (or near) Agadir is good for buying - particularly interested in Saffron and Ras al Hanout - shopped in the souk last time but I wasn't that impressed - is there somewhere better?

Last time I went to Morocco I bought a friend some Argan Oil shampoo from the women's cooperative near Essaouira - not planning on going that far this time - gonna be hot and feeling like a lazy holiday not 3 hours on the road - is there anywhere more local I can buy it withot going to the expensive tourist "pharmacies"

Where can I get good leather goods - again wasn't that impressed with Agadir souk

In Agadir the souk is the main place to shop. Agadir isn't like most other Moroccan cities that have many little souks throughout the city. The best place in Agadir for spices and leather goods is the souk. Leather goods are not made in the south of Morocco making the selection smaller here in Agadir and mostly tourist items (poofs, purses).
I am not sure who in the souk you purchased spices from but I only buy one one man in the souk and his saffron and ginger (ras al hanout) are very nice. Make sure you ask for fresh ground spices and not the stuff you see already ground up. It makes a big difference.
As far as argan products there are many small stores throughout Agadir that sell the oil of course. There are several new all natural shops that sell argan beauty items including shampoo. I am at the moment thinking of one in Talborjt area near the large mosque there. I just can't remember the name of it but it is only 1 block from the large mosque in talborjt.
