Travel Tips
Hi again! It really depends on the city. In smaller cities like Agadir, Meknes, etc, rent is less expensive - you could get an apartment for 1,000-1,500 dirhams per month, then live on about 1,000-2,000 for food and whatnot. If you want to live in Casa or Rabat, double that.

Keep in mind though, that that's minimum. Western-style apartments (read: with Western toilet) are often more expensive. Apartments are never furnished and usually don't even come with hot water or a stove - you have to buy the hot water heater and any other appliances, and the gas to run them each month (My husband and I go through 3 gas cans per month at 40dh each).

my husband is from Morocco and we are considering moving back there. he says, we will need approximately $350 -450 monthly or $85-95 per week to live comfortably. we have 1 child.
hope this helps.
hey am moroccan but if u want to live comfortably u need 600$ at least to get internet connection nd all stuffs nd do not worrie abt food here its dead cheap nd the best city to live is agadir (its my city lol ) but its clean nd beautiful
I am an America living in Morocco, my husband is Moroccan and we live in Agadir. If rent is not included and you chose to live on the minimum amount you could do it on $250-$300 a month. It would be really tight, you would have no extras really but it could be done. If you want land line and internet in your home you would need more than that. If you are willing to go without these things it is possible.
A more comfortable wage would be around $600 a month.
These amounts would be for 2 people.
What city are you interested in moving to? What kind of work are you looking for?
