I am going to morocco what money do i need? |
Travel Info is there a good exchange rate? will i feel rich? Travel Tips You can change most currencies in Morocco at certain banks and they will be changed into dirhams. When you leave, you must change your money back because dirhams are not to leave Morocco. You can use a credit card but many small shops in the souk will not accept them. You will most definitely want to keep some cash on hand and use your credit card when you can. I find that bargaining is done much more easily with cash and shop owners LOVE to haggle. Source(s): Live in Morocco. Other Travel Tips Moroccoins Not very sure but i heard that you cant get moroccan money outrside of morocco. The best bet for travel is to use your credit card. The exchange rate will be reasonably fair and you have the security of being able to get cash at any ATM or most banks. One of the nice things about this day and age is you can travel to most places without the hassles of carrying large amounts of cash with you. they are called dirhams and you get 8.33 dirhams for every american dollar however you may feel rich you wont be because remember it probably cost 8 dirhams for a coke. currency doesnt affect what soemthing cost sometimes its even more money than the united states cause they have to import it. be careful morroco while nice is still a but dangerous the currency of morocco is dirham, 1 dollars = 8 dirhams you will notice that things are cheap but don't forget that if you eat for ex in KFC or MCDonlads you can eat there the cheapest meal with 35 dirhams = 5 dollars you can take a small cab for very short distance with 1 dollar you can have a breakfast with 1 dollar .... ok if you need more info contact me abdel_118@hotmail.com |
