Need help - Morocco!!!!?

Planning a trip to Morocco in July with 5 friends - what would you reccommend is the best way to go about it? Looking for a mixed experience of relaxation as well as tourism. I've heard there are beaches, waterfalls, the Sahara (obviously), history and a lot more. Wanna see it all, really. Where do you think we should stay (should Marrakech be the base) and how many days may we need (7 max)? What are the main interests?
