Which is the longest train in the world in term of length? |
Travel Info Which is the longest train in the world in term of length? Travel Tips The train carrying iron from Zouerate to the coast at Nouadhibou, is probably the world's longest train. Normally its length is as much as 3 kilometres. The whole journey takes around 12 hours, where almost 700 kilometres are covered. If you want to come to, or leave, Nouadhibou, there are no good alternatives to this train. But it should not be avoided anyway. Nowadays, normal compartments have been put up. Up until a few years ago, sitting on top of the wagons, was all offered. This is still used, but it's unpleasant. The cost of travelling is just around $5 one way (1 ougiya per kilometre.) Others This one is hard to answer. I have seen trains with 5 engines in the front and a couple at the back and well over 100 cars going across the great plains. Usually filled with coal from Wyoming. Could be more cars. Check out a "Train spotting" web-site there are people who love this stuff. I just read Ranjeets answer and I had suspected that some Indian passenger train would be longer. Glad to learn something. Now which one WEIGHS more? The longest train in the world is Esplanades express's Number 17a train. Its company's trains are all the same length which is 2km. But this train is 4.1km. This train transports people and goods. The passenger train part is the best because, it is more than an express train. It is something like an airplane. Hope this helps you! Good Luck! |
