Recommended living in the mumbai area?

I am relocating to the mumbai area in the next few months and would like to know what is the best area to live in. I would prefer a small community somewhere within about 30 minutes or so driving of mumbai. Something inexpensive yet safe and comfortable for a family, but which must have high speed internet access. Can anyone living in the mumbai area recommend an area?

This is a hard question to answer...if you are familiar with big cities...mumbai is exactly that...there is always traffic congestion so if you are relocating for work then that should be your most important consideration for home search...

What amenities are you looking to be close to? Is driving a big deal? Is shopping a big deal? Is being walking distance from the night life a big deal....like moving anywhere...moving to mumbai requires exactly the same breakdown...
