Would someone give me advice how to get inexpensive, clean and safe place to stay in Mumbai for 2/3 weeks? |
Travel Info I have limited budget and would like to visit Mumbai for some personal work. I am 61 years old, a highly-educated individual; I am originally from Mumbai but have been living abroad for some years now. I'd be willing to teach or provide some service in return for lodgings. Travel Tips Try YMCA for stay. Or as paying guest with some family. You can get the information on the net. Others I dont think u will get some one in mumbai to just have u in their place just for ur knowledge or ur service ? whatever it may be. it will not be safe for u also to go into someone's place unknowingly.so it is better if u contact some social organisation or non govermental organisations(NGO) who will be helping u in this matter or u may also contact ur indian ambassay for assistance on getting address of such institutions. i will advice u to book a hotel in suburbs outside of mumbai,it will not cost u a lot and u will be comfortable for u also as there will be staff of hotel to take care of you. deposit your luggage's in clock room, and stay at railway platform waiting room,it is totally free. I liked your details. Pls let me know the dates when U shall be visiting, as I can try to acommodate you at my place near the airport, if it is in October, without charges. I am presently in UK and shall be back by then. I am 64 yrs gentleman, with religious bent of mind, a veg and a management consultant by profession. In case, you desire to spend, I can suggest that you can give that amount to some genuine charity. gr8warrier@yahoo.com |
